More March Inspiration!

Well, we're just past mid-month, so how's everyone doing with their cards for this month?  How many have you made so far this year?  Doesn't it feel fabulous to have a start on them and not be trying to do them all in November?!

Well, here's to get you inspired once again, here's a little more design team eye candy!

Cheers,
Colleen

PS  If you're having any trouble using the SimplyLinked for any reason, just be sure to add the direct link for your cards in comments.  I haven't figured out yet why some people are having issues with this!

March Guest Designers!

Sorry for the delay, but I'd like to introduce the two lovely ladies that are guest designing for us this month:  Jess and Chris!  Be sure to click on their names below and check out their blogs too!

My name is Jessica, and most people call me Jess, hence Jess's Crafty Things for my blog title. I was born and schooled in South Africa, where I picked up a love of bright colours in Natal, and moved to the UK after completing my education and now live in Ireland where the people are warm and friendly.

I love doing anything crafty and other interests include scrapbooking, drawing, painting, calligraphy and making small toys. My most passionate craft for the last few years has been cardmaking, and I live with a very understanding partner who humours me when it comes to my paper and colour addiction! I started out with a love for decoupage, but very soon found stamping and still like to layer and layer, the more the better. Most of my cards are clean designs, although it depends what mood I am in and if the distress inks are closeby.

I make cards for all occassions, but Christmas and Wedding cards are definite favourite because I can user lots of glitter, flowers, die cut shapes and punches. My cuttlebug is never far away either, and is honestly my best ever craft investment!

When I am not crafting I work full time and love walking and baking when I get time.

I am delighted to be a guest DT member for CCAYR and hope you enjoy the samples I have made as I had fun creating them!

Hi! My name is Chris Pereira and I live in Colorful Colorado. I have loved creating my entire life, but I have only just (about 3 years ago) discovered the joys of creating with paper, ink and stamps. I have been married to my best friend for 27 years and between us we have five marvelous sons. Our sons are all married to exceptional women and we have five gorgeous grandchildren, two girls and three boys who range in age from 6 to 2. I have been a potter for over 20 years and I also enjoy weaving and working with fibers in any form - sewing, knitting, cross-stitch - just everything.
My husband and I are avid sailors and we currently have a 36 foot sailboat in Massachusetts. My husband retired in April, 2010 and he is now living aboard until the fall. I will be joining him for several weeks this summer and am really looking forward to exploring the New England coast from the water!
I have two cats and this year have some wonderful flower and vegetable gardens. I am learning how to take pictures with my new Nikon P90 camera and having a great time documenting the growth of my gardens. I’m also trying my hand at creating digital sentiments and scrapbook kits. I have always been a collector of graphics and am now finding new ways to use them.

I enjoy teaching classes both in stamping and computers. I have worked in IT for many years and have worked as a Systems Administrator and Webmaster for the Native American Rights Fund for the last 17 years.

I am so thrilled to be working with this team of exceptionally talented ladies. Thanks!

Your cards are beautiful ladies!  Thanks so much for playing with us this month!

Make sure your cards for this month follow the March challenge -

Can't wait to see more of what you ladies create and make sure to post your cards to the March challenge post!

Thanks,
Colleen and Lesley

Hello everyone and welcome to another monthly challenge here at Christmas Cards All Year Round!  We certainly hope you've managed to get a few cards done already for the 2011 holiday season and here's to getting your mojo going again with some fabulous inspiration from our design team.  Look for guest designers tomorrow as well

So without further ado, here's the new challenge!

Since March is the 3rd month, we'll be working in threes! Your cards needs 3 patterned papers and 3 brads, eyelets or gems. You may add other embellishments, a sentiment, cardstock, etc as well.

Sound like fun and a bit of a challenge?!  Well, here are some ideas to get you going!

Awesome cards once again ladies! And now for this month's prize...

Our own design team member, Kat, is very generously offering the prize below for this month's winner! There are SU Tiny Tags (clear mount stamps set) and a Northern Flurries Embossing Folder! Fabulous prize Kat! Thanks so much!
***Remember if you do 5 cards this month following the challenge, your name will go into a draw for the above prize at the end of February! (this challenge CAN be combined with any other blog or forum challenges that you do this month.)
Please upload your cards to your blog, a gallery, or photobucket and remember to give us the EXACT links to see them. You can do 5 of the same cards or 5 different ones (as long as they follow the current challenge) If you do 5 of the same, please show us a picture of them altogether. If the linky isn't working for you for any reason, just post your link in the comments!  Thanks!
***Also, if at least 20 people create 5 cards we'll pick a second winner!***

We'll be revealing the cards and a little about our guest design team members for the month tomorrow!

Cheers,
Colleen and Lesley
